Mossy Oak Properties, Inc. hosted the 3rd Annual “Fox Hole Shootout,” a golf, sporting clays, and dinner to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Catch-A-Dream Foundation, and Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement (SOLE) on June 6, 2019 in West Point, Mississippi.
Through this event, Mossy Oak Properties has raised and donated more than $400,000 over three years. This year alone, nearly 650 dinner attendees, 80 shooters, 154 golfers, 50+ volunteers and over 40 sponsors assisted in raising a net of $150,000.
The event began with sporting clays at Prairie Wildlife, an Orvis-endorsed wing shooting lodge near West Point and continued with a four-man scramble at Mossy Oak Nature’s Golf course, the “#3 Best New Course of 2017,” according to Golf Digest. The day was capped off with a dinner and live auction that evening at Town Creek Pavilion, which featured food prepared over “live fire” by several award-winning chefs, and entertainment by acclaimed Nashville songwriters Bobby Pinson, Chase McGill, and Cole Taylor.
Chris Hawley, CEO/President and Co-founder of Mossy Oak Properties commented on the event’s growth and success, saying:
“The Mossy Oak enterprise lives by the belief that the good we do lives long after we are gone. What this event has grown into and the impact it has had on three deserving charities over three years is humbling, to say the least. We are so proud of all of the volunteers, the outdoors community, and every sponsor that all come together for a common purpose to change people’s lives.”
The 2020 Fox Hole Shootout will be held Thursday, June 4 in West Point, Mississippi. For more information on sponsoring or participating, visit www.foxholeshootout.com.
