In 1995, Mossy Oak approached ten years under our belts as Bottomland had become the uniform for anyone hunting with their back against a tree. Flooded timber duck hunters were covered, and it was time to develop another first-of-its-kind pattern. Original Shadow Grass solidified Mossy Oak with a pattern specifically for waterfowl hunters and the habitats they call home.
Thirty years later, Shadow Grass has become an icon, still renowned as one of the most effective and classic patterns ever built for duck and goose hunters.
A Mossy Oak original, Shadow Grass remains a time tested
classic pattern for waterfowlers
The first of its kind, this pattern combines grasses of wetland landscapes with bold shadows and a timeless Bottomland background. Disguising your silhouette, the natural colors fade into the marshes and grasslands across the continent.
Original Shadow Grass is a true classic, time-tested across decades of seasons and habitats and earning a rightful place beside your grandad's old Browning.
It's Our Duty To Leave Things
Better Than We Found Them
No species in North America covers more ground than ducks, and from breeding grounds in the far north to wood duck boxes on your local river, Mossy Oak supports the people and organizations working to keep our ducks thriving. Mossy Oak fosters a community of hunters and land managers around the country who look after habitat on a local level and through our own internal conservation initiative, Gamekeeper Grants, and our decades long relationship with our friends at Ducks Unlimited.
Teaching the next generation about land, family traditions, +
giving back more than we take
// It's Who We Are
Through our long standing relationships with the duck hunting community and our standing commitments to conservation we're proud to see Original Shadow Grass continue to find it's way onto the backs of waterfowlers.
From Orvis, Browning and Filson to Drake, Chene and Gunner, Shadow Grass has been printed alongside some of the most iconic names in waterfowl. As the seasons roll on, this product legacy continues in duck camps, fields and flyways across the continent.
