These wild turkey meatballs are incredible on their own or paired with this homemade vegetable soup. If you're trying to think of something different to make other than turkey nuggets, this is a pretty good place to start!
How to Make Wild Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
Homemade Vegetable Soup:
3 tbsp oil
1 brown onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 large carrots, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup corn
1 cup green beans
1 cup peas
2 cans fire roasted tomatoes
4 cups broth, chicken or turkey
2 cups V-8 juice
2 tbsp cracked pepper
Salt to taste
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
Wild Turkey Meatballs:
1 pound ground turkey, or other meat
1 cup breadcrumbs
3 cloves garlic minced,
¼ onion, minced
1 tsp salt and pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 egg
¼ cup milk
Directions:

In large stock pot or Dutch oven add oil over med high heat, sauté onions, carrots, and celery until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more.

Add broth, V-8, veggies, tomatoes, and seasonings. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer.

In glass bowl add all meatball ingredients and mix to combine. form meatballs and drop into your soup.

Cook 1-2 hours until meatballs are fully cooked. Serve and enjoy.
