The Tale of Taylor’s Turkey

My daughter, Taylor, has been hunting turkeys since she was 10 years old. She is 22 now. As always, Taylor and I hunted together this season. We went to Iowa, one of our favorite places to hunt. Transitioning from Turkey Season to Deer Season

I have always been interested in photography. I got bit by the photography bug when I was a kid. I have always carried a camera with me when I go hunting. I like taking pictures of wildlife, and I especially like photographing mountain lions because most people never have seen a mountain lion. Mountain lions are very elusive. They can hide really well, and they try to avoid people.

I only keep about three or four mountain lion dogs. When I started hunting mountain lions back in the 80s, we didn’t have many lions to hunt. Sometimes we might go two weekends without ever seeing a lion, so we didn’t tree many lions. In the early 90s, we usually could catch one or maybe two lions in a weekend. But now in Utah we can cut a mountain lion track just about every day
