Over the past year I have had the opportunity to review a number of products, and a lot of these products have been packs and cases. Most products had good functionality and were designed to help the sportsperson in the field. What is unique about this review is the remarkable quality I observed in the Duluth All Day Pack. The pack has a number of great features and is very well made; making it a durable and reliable pack for many outdoor activities.
When I did research on the All Day Pack, I found that the Duluth Company has a long history of making handmade packs and bags right here in the USA. Their factories have been building quality products since 1911 and are home to an extremely talented group of sewers, riveters, and leather craftspeople. Each piece of Duluth Pack gear is built by hand with great attention to detail. If at anytime during the life of your Duluth Pack product you have problems, you can return the product and it will be repaired free of charge. Now that is a company that believes in their products.
The Duluth All Day Lumbar Pack in Mossy Oak Break-Up is the result of years of technical input from serious sportsmen and women around the country. The All Day Pack has more than enough room and support to carry all of your gear for a serious hunt or outdoor activities. The All Day Pack is 14W x 10H x 6D with a carrying capacity of 714 cubic inches, plus pockets. The main compartment is extremely roomy and has a reinforced waterproof bottom lining to help keep your gear dry from wet grass and dirt.
I found that I could pack food, flashlights, binoculars, emergency supplies and some extra clothing in the pack. I even rolled up a rain suit, pants and jacket, and added it to all the other items in the pack. I had more than enough space inside the main compartment for all of these items. On each side of the pack there are holders to carry water or containers. These holders are big enough to fit a thermos or large bottle of water, and the holders are bigger than most similar holders on other packs I have seen. All of these features make the All Day Pack a really good option for those long dawn-to-dusk hunts in the mountains or for those all day tree stand sits during the rut.
The Duluth All Day Pack is incredibly durable due to its quality design. It is made with a burly canvas construction and leather reinforcements for rivets. The pack is guaranteed for life, and it can take a lot of abuse without showing it. When you pick up the pack, you immediately feel and see its high quality from the stitching and zippers used around it. The All Day Pack also has fully adjustable shoulder straps with a rear cinch strap, along with a waist belt helping to keep you comfortable and your load stable for those long hikes or hunts.
On the top flap of the pack there are two compression straps ready for a rain jacket or extra insulating layer. I really like this feature on those days when the weather fluctuates. The ability to take off clothing and attach it to the pack without having to stuff it inside is a nice feature. Another feature that I really like is the removable shoulder straps and waist belt. I have used a lot of day style packs over the years, but none of the packs have had the ability to remove the straps and belt. This gives you versatility in how you can use the All Day Pack, and the feature helps make it easier to pack when traveling.
Overall, the Duluth All Day Pack is spacious and durable. The shoulder straps make it easy to transport on those long hunts. The various pockets give you a number of options to carry all your gear, food, and water for all day hunts. The All Day Pack is not only a great pack for hunting, but also a great option for anyone hiking, fishing or just spending the day in the outdoors.
