Mossy Oak Fishing team member, Jordan Lee was crowned champion of Major League Fishing’s Toyota Heavy Hitters tournament in addition to winning the Berkley Big Bass Bonus.
Lee won the event by out-fishing the field by a near 20-pound deficit. Lee’s championship round weight for the tournament was 52 pounds, nine ounces. His combined earnings for the weekend with the Berkley Big Bass Bonus and the title winnings were $200,000.
According to majorleaguefishing.com, Lee stated: “It’s an unbelievable feeling. Kissimmee has been good to me. I felt comfortable out there all week. I noticed everyone was congregating on the big sections of grass and I don’t like fishing in crowds. That told me I needed to find something off the wall. I found a brush pile on my Lowrance StructureScan (side-scanning sonar) and made a cast with a lipless crankbait and caught one immediately and it had a bigger one following it in. My goal was to scan every inch of Toho and I continued to search for more places even during the tournament.”
