The Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Eastern Open presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors will kick off the 2019 competitive fishing season for high school anglers across the United States and the world.
Taking place this Saturday, March 2 on Lake Hartwell, located in Anderson, South Carolina, this one-day event will have several two-person teams and their coaches fishing for contingency prizes, scholarship money, and the pride of knowing they out-fished some of the top high school anglers in the world.
Mossy Oak Fishing, creator of Mossy Oak Elements Agua, the official pattern of B.A.S.S., is proud to remain the title sponsor of the 2019 Bassmaster High School Tournament Series, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.
“At Mossy Oak, it is of the utmost importance to pass on our outdoors traditions of fishing, hunting and taking care of the land,” said Ben Maki, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Mossy Oak. “B.A.S.S. offers so many opportunities for young people to compete in the sport they love. We really wanted to get behind their efforts of supporting future anglers and outdoors enthusiasts. We’re honored to play a role in such a tremendous program.”
Mossy Oak launched its first fishing pattern, Elements Agua, at the ICAST show in July 2017. Since then, Mossy Oak Fishing has added nine of the top-performing professional anglers to the Mossy Oak Fishing Team in addition to being the official pattern of B.A.S.S.
