Mossy Oak is proud to award Walker Clawson with the 2018 Dr. James Earl Kennemer Academic Scholarship in the amount of $10,000.
Originally from Meade, Kansas, Clawson is currently a freshman at Kansas State University where he studies agriculture economics with a plan to dual-major in animal science.
“I am very grateful to be the recipient of such an incredible scholarship,” said Clawson. “What it stands for and what it will help me accomplish is amazing. My goal is to earn my degrees and return back to our family ranch where I plan to introduce more people to the outdoors and get them as interested in this great lifestyle as I am.”
To become a candidate for Mossy Oak’s NWTF National Scholarship, Clawson submitted an essay that won his local NWTF Chapter Scholarship in addition to the Kansas state NWTF Chapter Scholarship. Upon winning both of those, his essay proceeded to the national level for review and eventual selection.
Clawson was presented the award by Mossy Oak’s Ronnie “Cuz” Strickland and Daniel Haas and NWTF’s Dr. James Earl Kennemer.
