Carrying on tradition, a group of Mississippi dove hunters waited out weather to participate in the season opening dove hunts. Even downed trees and no power weren't enough to keep James Walters and his son, Jimmy, from opening day:
"I hunted with my daddy, and now I bring Jimmy, trying to carry on the tradition."
And while Isaac damaged Walters' home and property and threatened his winter supply of food in his freezers, it made him appreciate days like this with his son even more. "Thank God we can come over here and get away from all the stress."
