What's the most enjoyable/rewarding part of your job at Mossy Oak Properties?
I would say that it's being part of people's dreams coming true. We work with a lot of clients who have been saving for decades to buy that perfect property for them and their family to enjoy, and to be a part of making that happen is very rewarding. I've had clients actually break down and cry when they finally close on the deal.

What drives you to go above and beyond for your clients?
I've always enjoyed helping people, and to be able to do what I love and help people drives me to excel in what I do.

Did you always have a strong connection to land growing up?
I've always enjoyed the outdoors, and my family never had much land, but when I got to hunt or even just walk in the woods and look at the wildlife I always dreamed of one day having my own property for my family to enjoy.

If you had to give a land buyer one piece of advice, what would it be?
Make sure that you have a land specialist/expert representing you on your transaction.

What is something most people wouldn't realize about the land sales industry at first glance?
It's not the same as buying and selling a house. I get a lot of people who think it's the same, but it's obviously not; there is more too it.

Where do you see the land market in your area in the next 10 years?
I believe the land market in my area will continue to grow. By that I mean I think that values will continue to climb. Land is always a good investment.

How has the affiliation with Mossy Oak Properties impacted your business?
The Mossy Oak Properties Brand has been huge for our business here in Ohio. The Mossy Oak name is easily recognized among outdoors men/women. The brand stands for good things, and that gives us instant credibility with buyers and sellers. I think that without that our growth would not be as it has been.

If you were mentoring a young land specialist, what advice would you give him?
Be Honest. There is no reason to make things up or inflate things. People generally appreciate honesty even if you are telling them something that they do not want to hear.

If you had to invest your personal net egg in rural land, what characteristics would you look at first?
Location, future development potential, usability, income potential, Timber potential, mineral rights.
