The Doe Hunt of a Lifetime

I had a tremendous hunt - really the hunt of a lifetime - on opening morning of the 2017 bow season in Texas. I got to my stand about 5:30 a.m., before first light. That morning, I saw three does and two young bucks. But the afternoon hunt was what made this opening day a hunt I’ll never forget.

Hunting Deer in North Dakota Weather

In the past, I’ve mostly hunted from tree stands, but this year most of my hunting will be from ground blinds - just to be able to stay warmer. For most of deer season, the hunter’s number-one concern is how to stay warm while hunting. The Birthday Hog Hunt with Only a Knife

For my birthday present one year, I didn’t get the usual jewelry, perfume, romantic dinner or tickets to a play many women like. My husband bought me exactly what I wanted – a wild hog hunting trip to Louisiana. I’d hunted wild hogs before, and this hunt was special because we were hunting with Mike Jones with dogs.

Marsha Raley Learned How to Hunt on Her Own

Marsha Raley of Maynardville, Tennessee, has been on the Mossy Oak Pro Staff for 4 years. She is a bowhunter as well as a gun hunter. She was born into hunting as her dad and her stepdad both were avid hunters. “Before I could hunt with either of them, I’d wait at the door for one of them to come home to see what they had in the back of their trucks,” she said.
